Small Changes Can Make A Big Difference
I was listening to a talk radio show the other day. They had Amy Grant as a guest. She’s supporting what I think is a great idea that will not only help you, but also help feed Americans.
It’s call Small Changes. Basically, it works like this: you make some small change in your life. It could be that you decide to buy water or something other than soda at the store. Or perhaps you decide to get up a few extra minutes in the morning so you can just have a few minutes to yourself before beginning your day. Again, doesn’t have to be big and it doesn’t have to be for just you; it could be for your family or friends.
Then you go to Your Family Table and tell them about it. That’s it. Then for each small change you enter, a meal will be donated to those in need. No charge to you. Nothing personal is given, just something you freely give of yourself and tell the site, which ends up feeding someone that’s hungry. It’s a win-win.
In my humble opinion, I think more needs to be done with helping those in our own backyard here in the States. And I think this is a great way to do it.
