Luckily, I’ve never had my hard drive crash before, but I’ll also admit that I feel like I’m living on borrowed time as I don’t do backups very often.
When I do backup, I normally use two methods. First, I backup to a hard drive. Then I take a subset of the files (the most important ones) and back them up to a DVD. Purchasing an extra hard drive isn’t expensive these days. Plus, the technology is such that you can easily install one either into your computer or as an external drive when you get a case for it.
Now, I think I’ll get to that long overdue backup.
