Learning Languages With Myngle

Written on November 19, 2007 – 10:55 pm

Myngle: Learn a foreign languageMyngle is a site that provides foreign language lessons. Sure other online services do that, but what’s unique about Myngle is that you get your own personal teacher who speaks to you over the Web using Skype. Now that’s pretty cool!

Sign-up is free, but lessons are something you pay for. Prices vary depending on the language and the rate the language teacher sets. Still, not bad if you need something more than sound bites.

The site is in beta and currently does not have its doors open yet to the public, but you can sign up to be notified.

Admittedly, the demo they offer is a little weak. I would like to have seen more of an explanation of how it all works. Having a narrator would have helped, too. But clearly, there’s value in such a service for students needing to brush up on their studies, not to mention a money-making opportunity for teachers.
