A Darn Good Look At The Bunker

A Darn Good Look At The BunkerThe Bunker is brought to us by Joe, a district loss prevention manager for a major retail chain. With his unique and informative style, he takes us into a world that exposes the underbelly of shoplifting. You wouldn’t believe some of the things he brings to light.

Take the mother-daughter duo who went on a shopping spree paid for by the Bank of the Five-finger Discount. Or the mom who was caught stealing almost $600 worth of merchandise at Walmart…WITH HER BABY!

His posts are to the point and gives us an insight we only hear about on the news. So why is this important to you and me? Because we pay for what the shoplifters take away. Knowing the information he provides should spur us into keeping a closer watch on that “suspicious looking person with the huge bag items” and perhaps point them out to a nearby clerk.

A bit of constructive criticism:

  • BlogRush: unless it truly provides the traffic promised, I recommend losing the widget. Many bloggers rushed into placing it on their blog (myself included) once it came onto the scene only to turn around and remove it because it wasn’t bringing in the traffic and taking up precious screen real estate.
  • At the end of each post is a duplicate row of the familiar “stumble it!” and “Digg this!” links. Perhaps this can be easily fixed by taking a quick look under the hood.

I’m sure Joe would appreciate you taking the time to drop by and pay him a visit.
