A Darn Good Look At The BookShop Blog

If you are a bookseller or interested in becoming one, then The BookShop Blog was made for you. This magazine-themed blog stores a wealth of information about how to become a better bookseller.

Bruce Hollingdrake is the mastermind of this little corner of the Web which started in July of 2007. He, along with his nine contributing writers, provide news, reviews, marketing ideas, interviews and much more. After sampling a few of each author’s post, I’ve come to the conclusion that each has a solid writing style that keep you interested in what they’re writing about.

A more indepth look at the category of marketing ideas shows some interesting tips like building your client base at fan conventions, the attraction of a newsletter, and keyword tips.

I mentioned earlier that this blog sports a magazine theme. This is perfect for the topic as it enables readers to quickly glance at the blurbs on the home page. By clicking through the fast-loading tabs, you’ll pick up on the lead article, recent posts, popular posts, and featured writers.

A few other bonuses exist. Bruce is seeking contributing authors, so if you fancy yourself as a bookseller, then check out the opportunity. The BookShop Blog offers traditional advertising that you might be interested in. It’s also a member of the Entrecard community, so if you are too, then an alternative advertising opportunity might be waiting for you at Bruce’s place.
