I was never much of a reader growing up. Television was my thing, but I gradually got into books over the years. One of the struggles I had was common among readers and that was to know where to find my next best read. A site like I Read would have definitely come in handy.
I Read is a blog of contributing authors who love reading and want to share their viewpoints of what they read. The benefit to its readers, of course, is knowing what to read next and what not to read. Brief reviews of books including a summary of the plots are given, but only to the point of generating interesting, and careful not to reveal too much.
In addition to book reviews, you can also find links to help you find new books. For example, one of their recent posts is definitely worth bookmarking as it points to a site called What Should I Read Next? As the name implies, you enter an author/title to have that service provide you with suggestions.
The length of the posts are just the right size so as to keep a reader’s interest. I would recommend, though, that the header space be used a little more efficiently. Perhaps a larger image to take up space and add more balance to the layout would be just the thing to bring it all together. Another suggestion would be to have an “About” page so that new readers will find a quick definition of what the site is about and why they should return.
Since the holidays are coming up, hopefully that means some vacation time comes along with it. Having something to read is a good way to relax, so check out I Read to find out more of the books you didn’t know about.

Hi Chica, you’re very welcome.
I’m constantly on the prowl for new blogs to read, so I was very glad to find Chica’s. There are books on there that I love, others I don’t, and others I’d love to read. Thanks!
